The Gotham Lofts is a boutique building situated on King Street West in Toronto’s King West Village. It features a building with six (6) floors and a total of ninety two (92) loft suites that was built and completed in 1997. The building is one of the first that was built on King West in the downtown core of Toronto. As such with loft suites this building has a total of twelve floors as every suite is a two level unit. The suites that exist in the building include one bedroom with one full bathroom, one bedroom with one full bathroom and a powder room, as well as two bedroom and two full bathroom loft units. The units range in size from just under eight hundred square feet to over fourteen hundred square feet on the larger models. Many of the recently sold suites have been renovated and include hardwood floors throughout the suite and renovated kitchens with upgraded and modern cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. The building has maintenance fees that are approximately sixty seven (67) cents per square foot but they only cover the water, building insurance, common elements and parking. Owners have to pay separately for their own heating, electricity and central air conditioning which does give them control over their costs. The building has a 24 hour security guard, visitor parking, as well as an exercise room and party room. The high maintenance fees are partially due to the security guard as it is split over so few units in the building.
